Who’s Behind Mostly Harmless Things?
Hey! I’m a designer, filmmaker, daydreamer, and chaos enthusiast based in sunny California. I make the kind of signs that whisper sweet nothings to tornadoes, raise eyebrows at aliens, and politely ask guests to leave their shoes outside.
🌪️A bit of a vortex
I design it all—every sarcastic porch sign, every cosmic canvas, every cheeky welcome mat. The products are printed by an amazing team of 25-year-veteran U.S.-based printers, because quality matters (especially when you’re trying to survive severe weather and family gatherings).
My thought orbit
I grew up glued to atlases, staying up late stargazing and hoping for at least three shooting stars a night. A Brief History of Time melted my brain. Once, I had an actual panic attack trying to understand the size of the universe. Zaphod Beeblebrox is my role model because he walked out of the Total Perspective Vortex. I nearly didn’t.
I believe
I’m an empathetic atheist with a soft spot for science, a deep love for animals and wild habitats, and a tendency to laugh at things others don’t. My signs reflect all of that—irreverence, awe, curiosity, and the quiet hope that we’re not alone (but like… in a fun way, not the scary alien way).
Side quests
I made a film called Sunganges, a road trip doc that made it to Netflix after winning international awards. I’m currently writing a five-part feature film series called FireFly and dreaming of directing it someday. (But I promise not to turn the signs into NFTs.)
Why it matters
This isn’t just a shop. It’s a habitat. For my thoughts. For your walls. For some humor, some honesty, and a whole lot of weird weather love. When you buy something here, you’re supporting a small, messy, meaningful life. And I’m so grateful for that.
